Job Title: Project Assistant

Location: Hybrid – Primarily remote (requires at home office space), with required on-site duties based in Mayville, ND as needed.

Compensation: Hiring Range: $38,850.53 – $46,620.64 and will commensurate with level of experience

Position Information: The Project Assistant supports the North Dakota Area Health Education Center (ND AHEC) by performing a variety of administrative and program support functions. This includes managing day to day operations of the office, maintaining digital records, assisting in the coordination of events and conferences, processing financial and administrative documents, supporting student programming and initiatives, and assisting with outreach activities and workforce development. This position is primarily remote but does require onsite duties in Mayville, ND as needed, and instate travel for events and outreach periodically.

Key Competencies:

  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple ongoing administrative tasks and maintain accurate digital records
  • Attention to detail for accurate data entry, financial tracking, and document processing
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills to respond to inquiries and follow up on meetings and tasks
  • Proficiency with digital tools and Microsoft Office for managing files, emails, calendars, and meeting invitations
  • Interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with directors, students, vendors, and community partners
  • Ability to work independently and proactively in a primarily remote environment with shifting responsibilities
  • Customer service mindset to handle requests from regional centers and outreach participants professionally

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Degree in a related field
