Location: Mayville State University, Mayville, ND
Compensation: Hiring Range: $17.12 – $20.54 per hour – based on experience
Benefits: Includes single or family health care coverage (premiums paid for by the university), basic life insurance, EAP, retirement plan, tuition waiver, annual and sick leave. We’re looking for a dependable, enthusiastic team player to join our kitchen crew! If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and love making people smile through food, this is the opportunity for you.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Preparing fresh, high-quality meals from scratch with care and creativity
- Providing friendly, attentive customer service across dining and catering settings
- Maintaining top-notch food safety, sanitation, and presentation standards
- Working independently and collaboratively with a supportive team
- Adapting to a flexible schedule that may include weekends, holidays, and rotating shifts
Required Competencies:
- Work independently
- Team player
- Dependable
Minimum qualifications:
- Highschool or GED
- Experience preparing quality made from scratch meals.
- Ability to follow recipes
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time
- Able to lift 50 lbs.
Preferred qualifications:
- 2 years of short-order cooking experience
- ServSafe certification (or willingness to obtain)
